TENNIS AND POOL
THE TENNIS CLUB
The Dunes Club’s Tennis Club for adults and families has been active and growing for many years and is one of the best programs in Myrtle Beach. The program began in 1970 with the addition of four tennis courts to the Club as a part of a major renovation project. Since then, the tennis facility has grown to include six clay courts and two hard courts for member use, six of which are lighted for play in the evening. Court times are available from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. to members and times can be reserved at (843) 449-0185.
SOCIAL PROGRAMS
In addition to a superb tennis facility, the Dunes Tennis Club offers social and competitive leagues and tournaments, which have been a long standing tradition.
Currently, the Dunes Golf and Beach Club hosts two USTA sanctioned tournaments for members and sponsored guests which are:
The Dunes Waccamaw Cardiology Junior Tournament
Adult Labor Day NTRP and Open Tournament
YOUTH PROGRAMS
The Tennis Shop also coordinates successful tennis programs for children 4–8 years of age complete with private lessons, leagues and tournaments. Children ages 8–18 years of age may participate in the USA Tennis 123 and clinics for every age and ability.

SWIMMING AND BEACH CLUB
A magnificent oceanfront pool with a private beach access awaits guests and their families during the summer months. The facility traditionally opens on Memorial Day and closes on Labor Day. Members may sunbathe by the 700 foot, four lane pool or observe swimmers in the diving area and a wading pool under a shaded cabana. A beach umbrella and chair service is also available to the membership.
Another amenity is the poolside snack bar which offers a variety of casual fare and beverages. Showers, lockers and changing areas are also conveniently available to members and guests. An active youth aquatics program runs throughout the summer and is supervised by a caring, certified aquatics staff. Children of all ages are invited to participate on swim teams, swimming lessons and summer camps. | |
